The Red Wing 8011 Munson Ranger is a former Red Wing Japan exclusive and then became exclusively available to the European Red Wing Shoe stores too. The Red Wing Shoes 8011 Munson Ranger dates back to 1912. The original Red Wing Munson last was developed by Dr. Munson, a Major at the Medical Dept. of the U.S. Army. It took Dr. Munson 4 years to measure the feet of 2000 soldiers in order to find the perfect ‘soldiers last’. Until today the Red Wing Munson last is part of the official U.S. Military footwear. The Red Wing Munson last is known for its oblique toe-shape. The Red Wing 8011 Munson Ranger also shows the characteristic toe-cap as used for the Red Wing Iron Ranger Series. Therefore this boot also reminds us of a work boot from the 1920s. The Red Wing 8011 Munson Ranger is made from a special White Ash Settler leather and the boot has a subtle brogue detail on the toe-cap. The Red Wing Munson Ranger has a strong Nitrile Cork Sole.
