A beautiful example of a rare and much-in-demand vintage classic! This is a Levis 506XX, more commonly reffered to as a Type 1. This particular example dates to the postwar ear, the late 40s to early 50s, just before Levis introduced the Type 2 in 1953. More unusually, this is the blanket lined version. All the hallmarks you'd expect with a single sided tab, brass back cinch and a tobacco thread. The button backs show some light corrosion and there are a couple of area of wear to the troy blank lining. There are a couple of small holes in one armpit. A nice wearable jacket in a great size.
