STORY
Our flagship pant, the Foundation has been with us since the very beginning. This timeless classic was designed and built to be as ready an option as your favorite pair of jeans; they will no doubt contend for the top position as your go-to pant for daily wear in all conditions. Attention to details and fit, the Foundation is built with function, durability and versatility all in mind. This pant is constructed in our State-side Canvas, a substantial fabric that has a special finish that will develop unique patterns and slowly fade to add character and make each garment one of a kind. Imagine the fades of your favorite worn in Jean but in canvas earth tones, blue or black. Whether you like to keep the pant clean or like the fading, we created the canvas, make it your own.
PROCESS
Built in our durable, domestically woven State-Side Canvas, this special fabric has a custom finish so the garment will show fading and whiskers after wash and wear. This pant is sewn at a small family-owned factory in San Francisco who has been making jeans and workwear for over 35 years. Each garment moves through at least 10 hand operated sewing machines to create a special crafted product with attention detail. After sewing, the pant is sent to a separate washing and finishing facility in Los Angeles where enzymes and softeners are used to reduce shrinkage and character. The Foundation then goes through an inspection process to make sure it meets our quality standards with the goal of exceeding your expectations. The more you wear this one the better it gets.

We also know that it's very rare to come across any garment from years past that doesn't look out of place today. We think about this a lot during the design process and go to great lengths to make sure that all of our products are produced using time-tested techniques but simple, timeless qualities.
The foundation pant is the flagship of the grown and sewn canvas collection. It's the same pant we designed when we first started the company and wanted to make the perfect blend between khaki and denim.
