We’ve had this Blue Herringbone Tweed from Abraham Moon tucked away for years, waiting for the right moment to use it. This cap ended up being the perfect application. The fabric has that classic British texture you can feel right away, warm and rich without being heavy. Paired with our soft brim and unstructured crown, it lands in that sweet spot between everyday wearable and something a little special.
Each cap is cut and sewn in Los Angeles using Abraham Moon’s wool herringbone cloth. Moon has been weaving tweeds since the 1800s and you can see that history in the fabric. It is sturdy without being heavy, soft without being precious, and it shapes to your head the more you wear it. The soft brim keeps it crushable and travel friendly. This is a cold weather cap, made to be lived in.
The tweed is woven from natural fibers by an old mill in the UK and the hats are produced in small batches in Los Angeles. There are no synthetic outer materials and nothing disposable about it. Wool naturally resists dirt and moisture, which helps extend the life of the cap and reduces the need for constant cleaning or replacing.
