The Soft Brim Ballcap is designed for everyday function, made from British Millerain’s oil-finish cotton poplin. Starting at 6 oz and finishing at around 8.5 oz after waxing, the fabric provides light weather resistance and a structured feel without excessive bulk. The unstructured crown and soft brim offer a low-profile fit. There’s no Grown and Sewn branding, just a small embroidered American flag at the rear.
Each cap is cut and sewn in Los Angeles using British Millerain’s Cover Cloth—a tightly woven cotton poplin treated with a traditional wax finish. The wax creates a weather-resistant surface that ages over time, developing a distinct patina. The brim is soft and pliable for packability. When the wax begins to wear down, it can be reapplied to maintain performance and durability.
Made from 100% cotton with a natural wax finish, this cap avoids synthetic materials and is built with longevity in mind. The fabric is sourced from a long-established UK mill, and production is done in Los Angeles. Its re-waxable construction supports extended use and reduces waste over time.
