Foundation is our everyday canvas pant. Made in the USA from 12 oz., 100% cotton canvas, it is micro-sanded and garment-washed for a softer feel. The classic fit and regular rise give it a familiar shape, finished with our signature three-button fly and copper hardware.
Fit and length: Classic fit, regular rise and a standard 34-inch inseam. Hemming is available if you need a shorter length.

This is my second pair of Foundation Canvas Pants. Review of the first pair (Barley in 33) somewhere below. Reason to get this one is to see if 33 is the right fit for me (it is). I was recommended Evergreen to match with my Red Wings Beckman in Tan. I really like the contrast. The cut also looks great with the Barbour Transport. Although it's smaller than the 34 but still plenty of space to move around. Probably gonna quit buying skinny jeans. Almost every picture doesn't show the true colour of the pants. It looks very dark in pictures but not so much that you can't see it's green when it's on hand. The only strange thing I have notice are the front 2 belt loops aren't aligned. Both of mind are the same so it might be intended. It just feels weird when I buckle my belt because it makes me think i didn't wear it to the center (visually). Overall it is a good pants. I think I like the Barley better as it matches more with my other clothes. Strongly considering getting a Barley in 33.

I usually wear size 34 for my denims (pure blue japan/momotaro). Got a pair of size 34 foundation canvas pant and found it is slightly bigger at waist. Other parts are also bigger but I think it's the cut (this is like straight and my other pants are tapered). Tried to shrink it by washing it in 40C but didn't shrink too much. What surprised me was the fade after that wash. The pants overall has kept its shade but the usual fading spot (e.g. edge of fly area, side seam along the legs, belt loop, etc) has gone lighter and added much more character. This was achieved with only a week of wear (i did wear them everyday) and a wash. Can't wait till the whiskers and honeycombs to pop. The fabric has a nice weight while still very flexible. I can wear it comfortably without needing to 'break in' like Jap denims. Craft is high quality and feels like a piece that I can abuse for the next few years. Barley is a great colour that I wear to match with Red Wings moc toe in red and Barbour Transport in sage. Will try get another pair in 33 and see if it fits better. Just thinking if I should get it in Barley again or Evergreen.

Exactly what I have been looking for. Slightly higher rise, moderate taper down the leg. Quality of the material and construction feels very solid. Would like to buy a pair in navy.

These are great pants for spring, fall and winter. They take a some wears and washes to really break in but the fabric is really substantial. You may want to size down cause they run a little big. I always wear a 32 but in these a 31 fits best.

Excellent pants. Made in the USA. Sweet. Rather the US flag was on the inside belt loop, but inside pocket might end up wearing cool.
